The MAEVE × THONET collection is the result of a collaboration between KARA & Co., Econor Design, and Tomcsanyi. The three Hungarian brands share a commitment to local production, exceptional craftsmanship, and enduring design.
At the heart of the collection is Tomcsanyi's iconic 'THONET' print, originally introduced as part of the brand's 'Pálma' collection in 2020. The pattern draws inspiration from the woven inflatable mattresses familiar from childhood. Rather than depicting them literally, it captures the rhythm, structure, and tactile quality of their interwoven stripes—referencing both the tradition of weaving and the craftsmanship of furniture making.
The 'THONET' print was developed exclusively as an upholstery textile for this collaboration, making the MAEVE × THONET collection a unique meeting point of contemporary furniture design, textile design, and furniture craftsmanship.
